About me
I get people out of their heads and into their words.
Words are powerful when they tell the world clearly and authentically who you are and what you do.
I have put nearly every profession into words in my "verbal branding muse" capacity with a clientele that is delightfully diverse and international. My background in the performing arts informs my ability to collaborate, edit on the fly, and improvise in real time. My book, published in 2020 by the UNC Press is a historical biography of my great great grandfather, a pioneering Black physician at the turn of the 20th Century. His story taught me that anything is possible when clarity of vision meets faith and determination.
As a white presenting mixed (Black /white) woman, I deeply respect the importance of nuance. The gifts inherent in each unique lived experience can be extraordinary catalysts for connection, and connection is what good business is built on.

The 30 minute Verbal Branding Makeover works best if you already have some ideas and need to brainstorm your way to a better, more concise, more authentic final draft. We chat, I type, we post our ideas in the chat, and in 30 minutes you will have a statement that will take you wherever you want to go. I can also coach you on blog topics, corporate bios, web copy and presentations. These sessions are 30 min/$85. Packages are available and negotiable. Click below to schedule!
Coaching, writing projects or workshops
I am available for online verbal branding packages, corporate bio and Linkedin writing, website copy, mission statement drafting, team building or project defining, tailor made writing workshops or presentations. I can also create writing prompts or journaling practices to enhance your corporate retreat, or to accompany a themed event, I have even written wedding ceremonies!
